Oh no

Excuse the shakey terrible picture but I just had to show you. This went up last week a few neighborhoods over. Our recent windstorms knocked a lot of it out over the weekend and the owner spent tons of time putting it back together. The whole right side still isn't re-lit. Anyone else spotted any early birds?

Our town lit the big fir tree on the town green, which is no big deal. But the inn across the way put wreaths up all over the place, and this, if I'm not mistaken, on Nov. 1.

My daughter, who is 7, was the one who said, "What the heck is wrong wtih them? It isn't even Thanksgiving yet."

Although I am an agnostic, I would say that the windstorm is the Goddess's way of saying "It's too damn early for that nonsense."

I think the knitting/blogging community should chronicle their local Griswalds by posting pictures on their blogs of such atrocities. Do they live directly in eyesight from your home?

Jeanne lives next door to a truly lurid holiday display - maybe she'll document it this year... It's easy to find her house in the winter at night - where you hit your brakes, blinded and shocked, park. You've just passed her house...
