My love/hate with ponds and lakes

Oh I keep forgetting to tell you. I love ponds, lakes, oceans, rivers, bodies of water. I hate socks with ponds and lakes. I've never had more than a dime sized pond of color on a sock and that is down at heel gussett land. Berry Patch #1 sock came out beautiful. Berry Patch #2 sock has giant ponds of lilac. I hate it. When I saw it starting I thought I could fix it by (not frogging but by) pulling 6 inches of yarn and starting up 6 inches farther into the colorway. That, alas, did not fix it. I think the sock is punishing me for not being started for 3 months after the completion of sock #1. I am sad. I am not though going to frog 6 hours of work by starting over.
