Down the home stretch

Not much going on. Too hot out to think. (weatherman predicts 108-111 today) Turned the heel and am knitting down the home stretch on the Cabin Cove Baby Cable Rib sock two. So the end is in sight. What, only taken me 2 months to get this far? Wishing for winter weather when if feels good to knit with a cat in my lap and a cuppa tea next to me.

Can I just say that I have not completed a single knitted project since MAY???? May! Yes, two onths ago. I've frogged more things than I've ever completed. So, don't feel bad. Slow and steady is the pace. I'm on the one step forward, two steps back program.

If you can even touch wool in triple digit weather then you deserve some kind of fiber award! We're not so hot over here on the west side, but we are wimps who comlain more about the heat. Then again, we also close the schools if there is more than 1 inch of snow on the ground. Hee. Can't wait to see the completed sock.

Ack - I cannot even comprehend a temperature like that. I am sure I would spontaneously combust.

We didn't even get past the high 90s in Vermont and I was ready to move even farther north.

The past two nights it's been actually chilly at night. I've never been so happy to put a blanket on the bed.

I know I'll be griping about the cold in no time, but I honestly think the humid heat is crazy-making.
